UINTA COUNTY — The Wolf Den Fire in Uintah County is now up to 22,000 acres that started burning in the Book Cliffs area and has worked its way toward the Colorado border as of Monday afternoon.
While no roads have been closed, people traveling in the area are encouraged to drive carefully because of the possibility of obscured visibility because of smoke.
A type-2 team from Oregon was sent in to help local firefighters.
The fire is believed to be lightning-caused.
