UDOT: Travel tips for Easter weekend, updates on projects

UDOT has more than 200 projects slated for the coming month.

On Friday, Nate McDonald, UDOT, joined Good Day Utah to talk about what we can expect over the Easter holiday weekend and through the summer on the roadways.

Large projects expected to be completed this year include the work on the I-15 Core and the Mountain View Corridor.  Maintenance work will continue on I-15 in Salt Lake County, Davis and Weber County and in southern Utah.

For traveling over the Easter weekend, McDonald said travelers should try to leave Friday before 3 p.m. and return on Sunday or Monday before 3 p.m. or after 7 p.m. to avoid rush hour traffic.
