A warm and windy Wednesday, then much cooler

It will be very windy ahead of a cold front that will slide across the state later today and tomorrow. Near record high temperatures are possible today, but much colder air will move in behind the front by tonight. The brunt of the storm will stay to our north. Only a few showers are expected across the Northern Valleys later today through Thursday morning. 1-3" of snow will be possible in the mountains north of I-80.

Wednesday Night: Cloudy & colder. A few showers in the evening, and then a 30% chance after midnight. NW winds 10-20 mph. Lows: Near 40.
