It's going to be another pretty, calm, mild January afternoon with temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 40s along the Wasatch Front. Clouds increase tonight and it won't be as cold as you get out the door tomorrow morning. This is ahead of the weekend storm.
The storm slides in from the South Friday afternoon. It'll start as valley rain and mountain snow with snow levels dropping down the valley floors by Saturday morning. You can expect winter driving conditions, especially for mountain routes, Friday into Saturday. This storm should do well for our mountains.
Another system could bring more snow statewide by the start of the new work week.
