A strong ridge of high pressure will keep it hot today and tomorrow. The first in a series of Pacific storms will cross the area late Friday into Saturday. Showers & thunderstorms will become likely across most of the area with heavy rain possible at times. A colder storm will move in by the end of the weekend with snow possible in the mountains and higher valleys. If you have outdoor plans this weekend, be prepared for the colder, wet weather and make sure you have shelter available!
