One more warm day before big fall like changes settle in. A potent cold front will move through Utah on Saturday late afternoon bringing with it much colder temperatures but not much in the way of precipitation. Expect warmer but breezy conditions on Saturday with highs around 60 degrees.
A chance of light rain showers mixing with flurries for the Northern Wasatch Front can be expected for Saturday night into Sunday morning. Light accumulations of mountain snow at elevations above 6,000 feet for the Uintas and Northern Wasatch are possible.
This weather system isn’t much of a rain maker for southern Utah. A chance of light rain for higher elevations in South and Central Utah remains for Sunday into Monday.
Much colder air on Sunday with highs struggling to reach 40. Expect very cold mornings to start next week with lows in the teens and 20’s for much of Northern Utah.
