Cold & snowy weekend ahead!

The next storm will move in later today with snow becoming widespread across Northern Utah by this evening. Snow could become heavy at times overnight, especially in the mountains. Winter driving conditions are expected over all high elevation routes from I-70 north to Ogden Valley, and possibly in the Northern Valleys at times. Snow showers will continue over the north tomorrow before tapering off Saturday evening. It'll dry out on Sunday, then warm up quite a bit by the middle of next week.

SALT LAKE CITY

Friday: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of snow in the morning. Snow will become likely by late afternoon & early evening. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible by then. Highs: Low 40s.

Friday Night: Snow likely. 1-2 inches on the valley floor. Lows: Upper 20s.

Saturday: Another 1-2 inches. Snow tapers off by late afternoon & evening. Highs: Mid 30s.

Sunday: Becoming sunny. Highs: Upper 30s.

Friday: Sunny. Highs: Low 60s.

Friday Night: Mostly clear. Lows: Lower 30s.
