We'll get a break from some of the storms over the next few days, but not the heat!
As high pressure settles across Arizona , it's going to shut down the flow of monsoonal moisture and it'll dry out across Utah. Isolated thunderstorms could still pop up, but mainly along and over the mountains.
Temperatures will remain well above normal. Friday will likely be the hottest day, but we'll hang onto hot weather all the way through Pioneer Day Weekend.
Another push of monsoonal moisture could bring more thunderstorms across Southern Utah by the end of the weekend and into early next week.
