SALT LAKE CITY — After it's been so long without snow, residents in northern Utah may be excused if they were wondering what those white flakes were falling from the sky Monday afternoon.

About a half-inch of snow had fallen in portions of North Salt Lake up through the Centerville and Farmington area.

Along with the snow came treacherous driving conditions and traffic cameras picked up numerous accidents in the area.

The snow will diminish through the night as gusty winds move into northern Utah.
