Fire danger & flooding concerns

Posted
and last updated

Gusty winds & dry air will create high fire danger in the west Friday and Saturday. Blowing dust is possible!

Deeper monsoonal moisture is getting pushed east, so the best chance of storms will be east of I-15. Heavy rain could lead to flash flooding again. It's a good idea to stay out of the slot canyons until it dries out this weekend!

Gusty winds will continue tomorrow ahead of a cold front that will move through Saturday night. It's going to get a lot cooler behind the front! It'll feel more like fall than summer on Sunday.
