SALT LAKE CITY — A fast-moving storm that brought even more snow to northern Utah in the overnight and early morning hours mainly impacted the valleys and Utah County along the Wasatch Front. But the good news is that it may be the final act before the state gets a little break from the storms.
Snow totals in certain areas like Snowbasin reached 6.5 inches, while Layton received 4.5 inches.

Minor accumulations of snow made for traffic issues on major roadways, with widespread patchy fog also causing trouble during the Thursday morning commute.
The snow has mostly come to a complete stop, giving Utahns a break from the stormy weather pattern as the forecast calls for a quiet and dry weekend.
Despite the break, temperatures will continue to dip with lows below the 20s nearly every day.
