An accomplished Utah member of Team USA Trampoline and Tumbling is off to a great start in 2020 after winning tumbling gold in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Herriman's Kaden Brown had a 1.100 lead in the men's individual category after day one and he held on to win after the final round.
"Happy to say I’m coming home as a world cup gold medalist," Brown said on a social media post. "Thank you all for the endless love and support received! Great way to start off my 2020 season and I’m excited to see what the rest of this year brings!"
Brown had been training for the 2020 FIG World Cup since taking home bronze at the world championships in Japan.
"It's insane, power tumbling's getting huge in Utah and it's really cool seeing it start to grow even more," Brown said to FOX 13 after returning home from the 2019 world championships in Tokyo. "When I started this sport I was looking up to elite athletes and they inspired me, and it's crazy to go to these instate competitions and have them look up to me and I'm kind of in their spot now and it's really, really cool."
They’re bringing home some hardware! 🤩🇺🇸 Congrats guys!
