TheInUtahcampaign is all about boosting the local economy at the same time as slowing the spread of Coronavirus.
Katy Sine with the Utah Restaurant Association says it's a great time to support local restaurants - Shop InUtah is pretty much paying customers to visit their favorite dining establishments.
The Govenor's Office of Economic Development provided grants that give local eateries operating money, with the condition that they give half of the money to their customers.
This means many of these restaurants are offering buy-one-get-one-free gift cards, 20% off dining deals, and more.
Sine says you can feel comfortable eating out or taking food out, because restaurants are some of the most regulated industries in the entire nation. They are continuing to meet high standards, and have even elevated cleaning and sanitation in the wake of COVID-19.
