Petra Vigil from Petra's Backstubchen just turned 60, and we're celebrating with a German Chocolate Cake with a special ingredient — red wine!
You can make your favorite homemade chocolate cake recipe, but put some red wine in it too (maybe 1 cup or 1 1/2 cup).
The alcohol will cook out, but the cake will be more moist than normal.
Petra shared the ingredients to her favorite recipe: Flour,Sugar, Butter, Eggs, Vanilla and Rum Extract, Ground Roasted Almonds, Chocolate, Cinnamon and Red Wine. Mix it and bake it in a pound cake form or round form at 370 for 50 minutes. You cut it in slices and serve it with strawberry jam and whip cream
