The Gateway is being transformed into a downtown Winter Wonderland!
You can safely celebrate the holidays this year beginning with the Utah Arts Alliance's 4th Annual Illuminate Festival with state-of-the-art light projections now through November 29th.
This is a celebration of innovation that inspires the imagination. Artists work with light as their medium and downtown architecture as their canvases to create projection-mapped artwork, light art displays and exhibits for all to experience. Every night from sunset to 10pm there will be a large scale projection map show on the Union Pacific building.
Then, on November 20, The Gateway will celebrate Lights On! Holiday lights will be flipped on.
This year the holiday light design is focused around the world 'magic' with special moments spread across the entire property. This includes a Winter Forest, featuring large woodland creatures sculpted by local artists. You'll also enjoy live music, hot cocoa and an abundance of Instagrammable photo ops.
Health and safety measures are in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 which include mandatory mask use, hand sanitizer stations, social distancing and frequent santization and cleaning of public spaces and restrooms.
