The creators of the award-winning, Once I Was a Beehive, have announced a sequel to the beloved girl's camp movie.

We talked with actors Clare Niederpruem and Lisa Valentine Clark about beginning production on the new film, Once I Was Engaged next month!

They say the production team is launching an open casting call for younger versions of the original Beehive cast to appear in the new film.

Those wishing to audition are encouraged to submit a video link to: onceiwasengaged@gmail.com along with your name, age, where you live, and a headshot of yourself. If you don't have a formal headshot, take a well-lit selfie and send. The deadline to submit is Sunday, November 8, 2020 at midnight.

Lisa Valentine Clark says, "This is the LDS version of My Big Fat Greek Wedding! We want the audience to join us for this wild ride from the outset. I mean, I built an ark for girls' camp. Just wait to see what I do for my daughter's wedding!".

"We prepare for marriage our whole lives." said Clare Niederpruem, who will reprise her role of Bree. "Whether we are conscious of it or not, expectations are created by our parents, friends, church leaders, and by ourselves. We are casting younger versions of ourselves in Once I Was Engaged to help show how early the value of marriage is taught, and how much anticipation we have for 'the big day'."

Production is expected to wrap up just before Christmas with the new movie set for a spring 20201 theatrical release.
