MOUNT PLEASANT, Utah — The Wasatch Academy boys' basketball team has five seniors committed to Division One schools, two of them staying local.
Richie Saunders will be a BYU Cougar after serving his mission to Madagascar, and Caleb Lohner will be a Utah Ute in the fall.
For Richie, Mark Pope and his coaching staff connected immediately. Richie told FOX 13 that BYU felt like home.
For Caleb, he committed to Utah on his official visit. He said that he really believes in Head Coach Larry Krystkowiak and that he feels that he fits in with the Ute roster.
Both Wasatch teammates will be in-state rivals in the coming years, and that just means we all have a lot of really good basketball to watch.
