PROVO, Utah — The Utah Open teed off with the annual Special Olympics Short Game Challenge at Riverside Country Club in Provo. Local celebrities were each paired up with a Special Olympics athlete for a nine-hole chipping and putting contest.
The partnership between the Utah Open and the Special Olympics has been a great one for a number of years. The Utah Open presented a check for $50,000 to the Special Olympics at the end of the tournament on Sunday.
