PROVO, Utah — Pleasant Grove native and BYU defensive lineman Zac Dawe has been showing up at the right time for the Cougar defense this season, and he credits it to how he studies the game.

The hours spent watching film and studying the opponent is what translates to his success on the field. Before earning his starting position on the defensive line, he began on the offensive side of the ball, then had to step away from football due to injury. During his time away, he worked as a security guard and slowly worked to get back to Provo, where he earned the starting role.

Every game day he said his goal is to represent for the Dawe family name — that's what drives him, and he won't be stopping anytime soon.
