PROVO, Utah — BYU quarterback Zach Wilson says he will enter the NFL draft after three seasons with the Cougars.
Wilson posted the news on TwitterFriday, saying he made the decision after "much thought, prayer and consideration."
The junior, who has led the team since the 2018 season when he became the youngest starting QB in Brigham Young University history, thanked several coaches, the school's athletic director Tom Holmoe, his teammates, his family and Cougar fans in the announcement.
"Thank you for the best 3 years of my life. On our own home turf, or on the road, there was no question that the Blue Wave would be fierce," he wrote. "I pray that I will always make Cougar Nation proud."
