The Utah Department of Workforce Services says there are a lot of industries looking for seasonal help.
There has been an uptick in job listings in the travel, hospitality and retail industries.
Places like Ace Hardware, Lowe's and Sportsman's Warehouse are hiring as well as Sherwin Williams and TJ Maxx.
There are customer service jobs at Lexington law firm, Maximus Service and Progrexion.
Commercial drivers are needed at People Ready, Schneider and Staker Parson.
DWFS says if you’ve been laid off and are waiting to see if you’ll get your job back, it’s important you keep in touch with your employer because things could change as the pandemic continues.
"One of the things we really want people to understand right now is you do not want to wait," said Nate McDonald, Assistant Deputy Director at DWFs. "Start looking. Keeping your eye out right now for what potential opportunities may be and may come between now and before the end of July. The end of July the federal stimulus additional $600 right now is planned to go away come the end of July."
McDonald says more people will be competing for jobs, so be proactive.
While you’re at home, look for online training programs that can get you more experience and gain skills to help you land a new job.
