SALT LAKE CITY — It is "Work for us Wednesday," part of FOX 13's commitment to help you rebound financially from the coronavirus pandemic.

Utah is one of the top five states hardest hit by lost “shifts“ since the start of the pandemic, but the Utah Dept. of Workforce Services says hiring is gradually picking back up.

Here`s a list of companies hiring right now.

Walmart, Lowes, Harbor Freight and Winco are looking for stockers.

There are sales jobs at GNC, Lowe`s, The Gap, and TJ Maxx.

Places like ADT Security Services, Castlight Health and Teleperformance need customer service reps.

Landing a new job during the pandemic is challenging, but Adecco is a temp agency based in Sandy, that can connect you to dozens of open positions with various companies across the state.

Right now, their biggest needs are in office work, warehouse, and customer service, and they have temp jobs and permanent positions.

"Almost daily I talk to lots of people who have been impacted by what’s going on right now and I'm proud to say we’ve put a lot of those people into a job," said Shane Andrus, a client service manager with Adecco. "Obviously, you look at people’s backgrounds and what it is, but for me, I look a lot at personality. We’re hiring somebody that’s not only going to be a good fit for Adecco, but is also going to be a good fit for our client."

Andrus says a key is to not get discouraged and to keep applying for jobs.

The first step is to submit an online application and Adecco can help you stand out.
