MILLCREEK, Utah — Thursday, job-seekers in Millcreek will have the chance to meet potential employers face to face at the first in-person job fair since the beginning of the pandemic.
The job fair will be hosted from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at city hall on Thursday, September 17.
Masks are required at the event.
Granite School District, Salt Lake Community College, Canyon Rim Care Center and Utah Highway patrol will have representatives meeting potential candidates and collecting resumes.
The spring job fair was canceled because of the pandemic. With many residents out of work, organizers wanted to come up with a way to still connect job seekers to potential employers.
"We`'re going to keep being 6 feet apart, we are only having about 13 businesses that will be there so that we can keep that social distance and then we went to try and will probably mark some things on the floor to make it safe for people so they know where to stand," said Josie Angerhofer with the Millcreek Business Council Liaison.
Employment experts will also be available at the fair to help people learn how to nail an interview and land a job.
