Across the country the arts have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, and Utah is no exception. With theatres shuttered and unemployment benefits running out, professionals in the arts community have been forced to seek unique ways to get back to work. Pioneer Theatre Company in Salt Lake City has done just that.
In recent months the theatre, led by Karen Azenberg and Chris Massimine, has brought back several employees to create unique products made from materials the theatre has on hand. From backdrops and signage to props and more, professionals from Pioneer Theatre Company are putting their creative skills to great use to craft unique, beautiful products, available for sale at their new Second Act Holiday Shoppe.
Pioneer Theatre Company is also hopeful their 2021 season will come to life, with three shows lined up for the coming year. And thanks to a grant provided by the Governor's Office of Economic Development, you can now purchase a gift card that can be redeemed for double your purchase value toward tickets next season.
