BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah — The Salt Wells Fire that sparked overnight grew rapidly in a remote area of Box Elder County early Friday, officials said.
The wildfire burning in the Hansel Valley is estimated to be at 585 acres and is already 45 percent contained as of 2:45 p.m.
Utah fire officials said crews had made "good progress" to containing the entire fire.
No structures are threatened, and there are no evacuation orders in effect.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
