ALTA, Utah — Due to a winter storm and heavy snowfall the Town of Alta has an interlodge in effect.
The Alta town Marshal announced that residents should stay inside until they announce on their twitter page.
STAY INSIDE UNTIL WE SAY OTHERWISE. We are still INTERLODGED. We will notify when you can go out for the possible 4pm downhill opening.

Avalanche control is working in the area while the interlodge is in effect. Road closures have been put in place for SR-210 and Little Cottonwood Canyon.
“You have to stay within the building and so if you go out, there is in a fine and they do that because they’re doing avalanche mitigation across the road. It’s because they want everyone to be safe," Andria Huskinson with Alta Ski Resort said.
Access is limited and LCC will close tonight around 5:30 and remain closed until 8 a.m. Friday.
