WASHINGTON — A photo of a man possibly linked to the death of U.S. Capitol police officer Brian Sicknick has been released.
PHOTOS: Police, FBI ask public to help identify persons of interest who stormed Capitol
Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy tweeted out photos of the suspect and what appears to be a fire extinguisher in his hand. Sicknick was originally injured after being hit in the head by an extinguisher during the riots in which supporters of President Trump stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6.
Sicknick was able to leave the Capitol, but died the following day from his injuries. He was one of five people who died during the protests.
Cassidy says the photos were shared with him by the U.S. Capitol police.
