NEW YORK — As if 2020 hasn't been bad enough, the planet may now have to deal with an asteroid's close call right before Election Day.
NASA says object 2018VP1 is scheduled to make a close fly by to Earth on Monday, Nov. 2.
Granted, the asteroid is considered very small at only 6.5 feet, and if it entered the Earth's atmosphere it would disintegrate before hitting the planet.
On top of that, scientists give the asteroid only .41 percent chance of hitting Earth.
But still!
Can we catch a break this year?
