SALT LAKE CITY — With many families celebrating the holiday season apart this year, Zoom has announced it will lift the 40-minute time limit on free calls for select days in December.

The time limit will be taken off for group meetings starting at 10 a.m. ET December 23 and will end at 6 a.m. ET on December 26.

Unlimited group calls will also be available from 10 a.m. ET on December 30 to 6 a.m. ET January 2.

Zoom says there is no action needed from users to get the time limit lifted.

The company also lifted the time limit over the Thanksgiving holiday to ensure families ample time to connect virtually.
