ZION NATIONAL PARK — Zion National Park is back open after officials closed the park Monday night due to snowy and icy road conditions.
Shortly before 10 a.m., the park's Twitter account stated that SR-9, also called the Zion Mount Carmel Highway, is open for westbound traffic from the east entrance and that the Canyon Junction gate for eastbound traffic would open about 45 minutes later.
The Zion Canyon Scenic Drive is also open, but roads and trails remain "extremely icy." Kolob Canyons Rd. remains closed.
