CENTERVILLE, Utah — A woman was killed early Tuesday morning on I-15 in Davis County.
Utah Highway Patrol troopers say the woman was hit by a car around 2:30 a.m. near Parrish Lane.
Investigators don’t know who the woman is yet or why she was on the freeway.
It was also very dark at the time.
“We're investigating at this time, it doesn't appear that there's anything involved as far as the driver,” a UHP trooper on scene said. “There was a pedestrian on the roadway that crossed in front of him in the dark, she was wearing dark clothing it was very difficult to see her.”
That driver is from Arizona, and stayed on scene and was interviewed by investigators. No charges are expected in this incident.
Northbound lanes were closed for several hours, but were reopened to traffic around 6 a.m.
