BEAVER, Utah -- One person is dead and two others have been injured following a two-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 15 through Beaver that occurred Friday evening, according to a report from St. George News.
Around 5:20 p.m., a white Honda passenger car that was westbound on 300 North in Beaver traveling at a high rate of speed failed to stop at a T-intersection ahead of it that was located just east of Interstate 15, according to a press release from the Utah Highway Patrol.
The Honda blew through a fence separating a residential neighborhood from the area near the highway, continued through an embankment and then onto northbound I-15 where it collided with a northbound white Ford van in the area of milepost 111.
The driver of the westbound Honda, a California woman in her late 20s, died at the scene, Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Andrew Battenfield told St. George News.
The van’s occupants, two men in their early 20s from Utah County, were taken to Beaver Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The woman's name was not released as of Friday night.
