West Jordan Police investigate stabbing at reception center

WEST JORDAN — West Jordan Police are investigating a stabbing that took place at a reception center late Saturday night.

Officers were called to the PX Palace located at 7879 South and 1530 West around 11:30 p.m.

A 19-year-old male with several stab wounds was found in a vehicle, Officer Jennifer Worthen with WJPD said.

He was transported to a hospital and underwent surgery. Worthen said the victim is likely to survive.

The stabbing happened after an apparent fight broke out at the reception.

Investigators are trying to determine just what happened.

There had been no arrests made by early Sunday morning.
