OGDEN, Utah — Weber State University and the American Red Cross are inviting all Utahns to participate in a blood drive to collect 1,000 donations.
The drive will be held over five days starting on Mon., Nov. 30 and run through Dec. 4. at the Dee Events Center on the university's Ogden campus. The facility will adhere to all safety standards.
If the donation goal is met, it would be the largest Red Cross community blood drive in the state in more than a decade.
The drive was organized because blood donations typically decline during the holidays. According to event organizers, the blood donated during the drive will provide blood to 45 local Utah hospitals.
