HAWAII — Chad Daybell is back in Idaho ahead of his wife's extradition.
On Wednesday, a judge in Hawaii ordered Lori Vallow-Daybell's bail remain at $5 million. She is being held and charged with desertion in connection with her two missing kids, 7-year-old Joshua "JJ" Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan.
FOX 13 spoke with a woman who came face to face with Chad Daybell just before he left Hawaii.
Sharon Olson was visiting on the island from Utah when she ran into him.
"I got up the nerve to ask ... 'Wouldn't it be easy for Lori to get out of jail if she could just say where the kids are?'" Olson said. "He answered and said, 'Well, it's not that easy. It's more complicated than that.'"
