SALT LAKE CITY — They're California Gulls, but they're Utah's state bird.
So when one is in trouble, the rescue is on.
That was the case Thursday when a seagull got its foot caught in the lens of a light high atop a light pole.

Engine 7 and Truck 2 responded and the ladder truck was just the apparatus needed.
According to the Salt Lake City Fire Dept. Facebook page, Firefighters Orton and D.A. had the delicate save.
The bird was then placed in the care of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.
