The 85th Civil Support Team with the Utah National Guard has been deployed to a chemical leak at the Kennecott refinery.
According to a tweet, the team was requested by the Salt Lake County Government to assist with the leak that was caused by this morning's 5.7 magnitude earthquake that struck near Magna.
The Immediate Response Unit will assist with air monitoring.
Clint Mecham, Division Chief with Salt Lake County Emergency Management addressed the leak at a news conference.
