SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah — The Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control's new liquor and wine store in Saratoga Springs is set to open Monday.

The store incorporates a number of new "wave of the future" design concepts to enhance security and make it easy for customers to find the products they're looking for.

"The design of this new 11,250 square foot liquor store in Saratoga Springs focused on creating a warm and welcoming entry, which is accented by wood grain volumes that unfold from darker background elements to clearly mark the entry through visual contrast," according to a news release from the Utah DABC.

The store has a floor plan driven by clear lines of sight from the cashier area.

"This enhances wayfinding for the consumer experience as well as enhances security by having clear visual access down each product aisle. The rounded cashier counter with single line queuing brings a new change to state run liquor stores, which have typically been more in a multiple cashier chute style arrangement," the news release says.

The store also has "Premium Products Room" that displays rare and special products in individually-lit windows.

Customers can begin using the store, at 1285 N Exchange Dr. in Saratoga Springs, at 11 a.m. Monday.
