HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — The Utah-based crew that makes up the F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team out of Hill Air Force Base is getting antsy.

As the team waits to get back into the wild blue yonder at air shows across the country, the unit released a video Monday showcasing never-before-seen footage from its performance at the Ocean City, Maryland air show last year.

"Here's hoping all of our future shows have this much vape," the team wrote on its Facebook page Monday.

Led by Captain Kristin Wolfe, the F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team's first scheduled performance of 2021 is scheduled to take place April 17-18 in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

According to the team's website, the "F-35A Lightning II is the U.S. Air Force’s newest fifth-generation fighter. The Lightning II is a stealthy, multirole, all-weather air-to-air and surface attack fighter. It is designed to enable direct attack against the most heavily defended ground targets."

The 13-person team travels the world to show off the capabilities of the F-35A.
