MAGNA, Utah — Firefighters from the Unified Fire Department battled a fire on a garbage truck Tuesday.
It was reported around 10:00 a.m. on the frontage road to SR201.
According to a tweet, accessing the burning refuse was very challenging, and firefighters had to be especially careful due to on-board LP fuel tanks.
Crews maintained a constant stream of water on the garbage truck, forcing the closure of SR-201 until 11:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported and what caused the fire is under investigation.
