SUNDANCE, Utah — Emergency workers responded to three people falling in the area of Stewart Falls near Sundance on Monday.

A 9-year-old boy from Hawaii and a 19-year-old woman both fell 40 feet from the falls and are both in serious to critical condition, Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Cannon said. The boy was flown by medical helicopter to the hospital.

A 43-year-old woman also took a fall at ground level and suffered a broken leg.

The three incidents were all separate but all occurred around noon, UCSO said.
