SALT LAKE CITY — Two people are in police custody Thursday morning after three drive-by shootings and a chase in Salt Lake City.
Police said the shootings occurred in the area of 1630 W 500 S.
Officers were nearby when the third shooting occurred and they attempted to stop a vehicle that they believed was involved in the shooting.
The 26-year-old driver led police on a brief car chase, then exited the vehicle and ran away. A 17-year-old suspect, whom police said was apparently intoxicated, was found in the vehicle.
Police found the driver hiding in the Marmalade District neighborhood.
The 26-year-old suspect faces multiple felony charges, including discharge of a firearm. The 17-year-old suspect was remanded to juvenile authorities.
No one was injured in the shootings.
