HARRISVILLE, Utah — Crews responded to a fire at a storage unit building in Weber County Monday evening.
The fire broke out shortly before 5 p.m. at Northpointe Storage, located on Wall Avenue just south of Highway 89 in Harrisville.
North View Fire Department officials said nobody was hurt. They said the fire was started by someone flicking a cigarette in one of the units. That person tried to put out the flames, then called 911 when they were unable to extinguish the fire.
At least two units are considered a total loss; 28 other units have possible smoke damage.
Officials said they'll keep firefighters at the scene overnight to make sure it doesn't reignite.
