SALT LAKE CITY — It’s time to turn off your sprinklers and stop watering your lawn unless you live in one of three counties in Utah.

The Utah Division of Water Resources posted the information on its Facebook page.

It says says the weather is cooling down and lawn watering should be stopped unless you live in Kane, Garfield or Washington County.

Watering in those counties should only be once a week through October 15.

It has been a very hot and dry summer and Utah is entering the new water year with most of the state looking at severe drought conditions.

The post encourages all Utahns to conserve much needed water and to remember that every drop counts!
