Stranded snowmobilers rescued near Nelson Peak

WEST JORDAN, Utah — Officials rescued three snowmobilers Thursday night after they were stranded near Nelson Peak.

The Unified Police Department reports two of the individuals have no injuries, while the third has hypothermia.

The snowmobiler with hypothermia was taken to the hospital and the other two individuals rode their snowmobiles down while accompanied by search and rescue crews.

The trio were stuck just west of 7800 S. and Bacchus Highway in West Jordan.

Details on why the individuals became stranded and how long they were stranded for were not immediately available.
