CENTRAL, Utah — A Utah fire department is missing an important member of its team.
The Central Fire Department in southern Utah reports someone has stolen Smokey Bear from its "Fire Danger" sign.
According to the department, the popular firefighting icon was removed from the sign directly outside the Washington County station.
The sign is used to warn people of potential fire dangers. The current fire warning, without Smokey Bear, is "moderate."
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the Smokey the Bear sign is urged to contact the Central Fire Department.
