SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City Police arrested a man Friday night on suspicion of assaulting an elderly woman.
Police say Daniel Mutambala, 18, got upset at his 84-year-old grandmother who he lives with and kicked her in the chest, knocking her unconscious. She was transported to a hospital because she was having trouble breathing. An update on her condition was not available.
Mutambala then resisted arrest, police say, pulling away from officers and getting into a "fighting stance." He was tased and taken into custody.
He was arrested on charges of felony aggravated abuse of an elder adult and misdemeanor interference with an arresting officer.
