Salt Lake City accident involving 2 semi-trucks leaves one injured

SALT LAKE CITY — An accident involving two semi-trucks in Salt Lake City left one person injured Monday.

The incident began when the two trucks collided in Parleys Canyon. One of the trucks hit a wall, while the other continued down the canyon, hitting a construction vehicle before crashing into an area at the corner of2100 South and 2325 East.

The driver of the truck that crashed in the city is in serious condition but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

A Utah Highway Patrol spokesperson said brake failure may have caused the accident but that an investigation is ongoing.
