SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Nearly a year to the day that he disappeared, the remains of a missing hunter were found in Summit County this week.
69-year-old Carl Crumrine was last seen on October 14, 2019 in the Lyman Lake area of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in eastern Summit County.
The Summit County Sheriff's Office announced Crumrine's remains were found near the lake on Oct. 5.
Despite being from West Virginia, Crumrine was believed to be prepared for the cold weather and had food with him.
A search involving rescue personnel on the ground, on horseback and in a helicopter were unable to locate Crumrine.
