LA VERKIN, Utah — Police in La Verkin are searching for a missing boy who was last seen or heard from on Friday.

The family of 12-year-old Isaac Escobedo told police that he was told to come home from Hurricane Intermediate School that day before going to hang out with his friends to let them know where he would be, but he did not. He was last seen Friday morning when his dad dropped him off at school.

They reported him missing Friday night, and police put out a missing post on Saturday.

He and his family had only recently moved to the area, and they said he has no cell phone and does not know his way around.

Police say he is approximately 5’3”, 100 pounds, has brown eyes and curly black hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black t-shirt and Vans shoes.

Anyone who has seen him or has other possibly helpful information should contact the La Verkin City Police Department at 435-634-5730 and refer to incident number 20L001976.
